In this case, both husband and wife had built up substantial personal debt such as credit cards, personal loans and so forth, along with an existing mortgage that had been held with a major bank for some time. They came to us hoping they might be able to refinance their loan to a cheaper interest rate, to reduce their commitments. The customers had not used a mortgage broker before and were a little unsure of the process. After a few meetings and phone discussions, we were able to work through the clients’ goals which were to try and place them into a better financial position. After some analysis, we provided some options to the couple in which we could refinance their home loan to a much cheaper rate and consolidate three-fold personal debts. The loan was approved within 2 weeks and we were able to reduce the customers’ commitments by some $750 per month! Our customers were incredibly happy with the process and have recently touched base with the team to discuss some new plans.
