Our process

At Punters Finance we aim to keep you informed every step of the way.

So you have an idea, here is our rough step by step process from when mainstream banks have said NO to you, to when you finally reach a settlement date through Punters.

STEP 1

Your enquiry is received, you will receive a call or email within one business day, a few qualifying questions will be asked and a initial phone consult is set up.

STEP 2

Follow up phone call is completed; document request sent out (it’s all online and super easy!). The quicker that ALL documents are returned, the quicker we can assess your options.

STEP 3

Once ALL requested documents have been received, we will check them and allocate you to one of our experienced brokers.

STEP 4

You will be contacted by your broker within a few days of document submission.

STEP 5

Your broker will complete an assessment and present this to you. This typically takes 3 to 5 days, depending on the complexity of your situation. Of course, at this stage, you can ask lots of questions and work through the options with your broker.

STEP 6

Your loan application will be lodged as soon as you are happy with the chosen option and give us the go-ahead!

STEP 7

You will then receive either a Conditional or a Formal approval depending on the lender. If it’s Conditional, we may need to provide more evidence or answer a few more questions to move to formal approval. The timeframes in this part of the process are ENTIRELY dependent on the lender and how busy they are.

STEP 8

Your loan documents will be issued, typically within 3 to 5 days.

STEP 9

Your loan documents will be distributed for you to sign and return.

STEP 10

Settlement will be booked accordingly. Congratulations – success!

Please note: THIS PROCESS IS VERY DEPENDENT ON WAIT TIMES IN THE FORMAL APPROVAL PART OF THE PROCESS AND DEPENDENT ON THE LENDER.
